Presented is one old style kerosene lamp
that was likely used mounted on the side of the head of a ship's telegraph postioned over the hole like in
the Chadburns pictured below. The unusual curve fit the curve of the instrument head on its exterior. The lamp and kerosene
burner are in excellent condition, and reflector is in place. Lamp's of this style are very rare and seldom come with
the telegraph on which they were fitted because they make for a handsome independent light source and were carried
off as mementos. This one is in exceptional condition. There are no markings. We have two of these which are a matched
pair, and are selling them seperately. There is only one being sold in this offering.
DIMENSIONS: 5 1/2" H x 3" W x 2 7/8" D
Weight 1 lbs
This is an example of the type of telegraph head in which these
little gems were clipped to the two buttons. The telegraph is NOT for sale.
